Join us on June 17th for City Centre’s Aboriginal Day Celebration. A harmonious space will be provided at City Centre Community Centre, led by urban Aboriginal artists, to connect the newcomer community and longstanding Richmond residents, through a series of cultural exchanges and artistic expressions including:
- Community engaged art piece to signify Cultural Harmony facilitated by Aboriginal Educator, Terry Point from the Musqueam Nation
- Elders’ blessings
- Drumming performed by Elder, Old Hands
- Singing performed by vocalist, Fara Palmer
- Aboriginal Dance performed by dancers, Naomi and Tristan arranged by Ms. Janice Black
FREE, for all ages, 4:00-6:00pm, Saturday June 17th, Multipurpose Room 1
In recognition of Canada 150, the community art piece will be exhibited at the community centre and other locations within the City of Richmond.
