How to Volunteer

City Centre Community Centre, along with our community partners in the City of Richmond, offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for youth, adults and seniors. You can choose to help run summer day camps for kids, volunteer with fun recreation, arts, heritage or sports programs, help out at a community or major special event, or be involved in a parks or environmental program. Whether you would like to explore career options, meet new people, build leadership skills or volunteer your time to help the community, there are a variety of short and long term volunteer opportunities all year round. You will be able to access these opportunities on the City of Richmond’s volunteer website by following the steps below:

  1. Visit https://icanhelp.richmond.ca
  2. New to volunteering? Register Now! Already have an account? Login!
  3. Select Search opportunities.
  4. Select & browse through City Centre‘s current opportunities! Select Sign Up to apply for the corresponding opportunity.
Volunteer Benefits

If requested, volunteers are given a confirmation letter confirming involvement and hours contributed.
Volunteer orientations are offered (and attendance is strongly recommended) for each major event, which improves the volunteer experience for all!
